
Dr. Patrick Briggs is an internationally trained plastic and cosmetic surgeon based in Perth, Western Australia. After graduating from the Royal College of Surgeons in 1977, Dr. Briggs trained in general surgery at St. Bartholomew's Hospital in London, obtaining the Fellowship Examination of the Royal College of Surgeons of England in May 1981 and the Fellowship Examination of the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland in June 1981. Training in Plastic Surgery followed at Mount Vernon Hospital and University College Hospitals in London, Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA, and Cork University Hospital, Ireland. In 1991, Dr. Briggs passed the Intercollegiate Board Examination in plastic surgery as administered by the four Royal Colleges of Great Britain and Ireland - the FRCS (Plastic Surgery). That same year, he was awarded a Certificate of Completion of Higher Surgical Training (CCST) in plastic and cosmetic surgery.
In 1992, Dr. Briggs entered practice in Harley St. London. In 1998, three small children necessitated a lifestyle change in a move to Perth, Western Australia.
Dr Briggs is a member of the Australian Society of Plastic Surgeons and the Australasian Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons. He is a member of the International Society of Plastic Surgeons. He is a Fellow of the International College of Surgeons and an emeritus member of the British Association of Plastic Surgeons and numerous other plastic and cosmetic societies and associations in Europe and the United States. Dr. Briggs is an Examiner in Surgery at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland and is a Recognized Teacher at the University of Western Australia for the Australasian College of Surgeons. Dr. Briggs has been published widely in surgical literature; he is trained and experienced in all aspects of plastic and cosmetic surgery.
Dr. Briggs is married with three (still growing) children, and in his leisure time enjoys water sports, skiing and aviation.
