Your Surgeon - Dr Patrick Briggs
Dr Briggs is an internationally trained plastic and cosmetic surgeon with over 30 years of experience, based in Perth, Western Australia.He began his general surgery training in 1977 at London’s St. Bartholomew’s Hospital, after graduating from the Royal College of Surgeons. In May of 1981, he obtained the Fellowship Examination of the Royal College of Surgeons (England) and in June of the same year obtained the Fellowship Examination of the Royal College of Surgeons (Ireland).
Dr. Briggs then undertook training in Plastic Surgery at a variety of hospitals worldwide including; Cork University Hospital in Ireland, Mount Vernon and University College Hospitals in London and Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA.
In 1991 Dr. Briggs obtained a Certificate of Completion of Higher Surgical Training (CCST) in Plastic and Cosmetic Surgery and also passed the Intercollegiate Board Examination in Plastic Surgery. This examination was administered by the four Royal Colleges of Great Britain and Ireland – the FRCS (Plastic Surgery).
For 6 years, beginning in 1992, Dr Briggs practiced in Harley St London. In need of a lifestyle change due to his three small children, Dr. Briggs moved his family to Perth, Western Australia in 1998.
Dr Briggs is a member of a number of Societies and Colleges including; the Australian Society of Plastic Surgeons, the Australian Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons, the International Society of Plastic Surgeons, a Fellow of the International college of Surgeons and an emeritus member of the British Association of Plastic Surgeons, not to mention various other societies in both Europe and America.
Dr Briggs illustrious career has also enabled him to be an Examiner in surgery at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland and a recognised teacher for the Australian College of Surgeons at the University of Western Australia.
Tiffany – Registered Nurse
Tiffany’s passion these days involves non surgical facial rejuvenation and anti-aging. Her areas of expertise are dermal fillers, wrinkle reduction, chemical skin peels and IPL. She also carries a broad knowledge of medical grade skincare products for all skin types.
Tiffany’s friendly nature, along with her attention to detail will make your experience at Dr Briggs rooms, a positive one.
Jo - Registered Nurse
Jo is a registered nurse with over 15 years experience in Medical/Surgical Nursing. She comes to Dr Patrick Brigg’s clinic with many years of experience gained from working in various Cosmetic and Medical Clinics.
Jo’s role includes providing education and information to patient’s pre and post operatively as well as wound care management.
Jo has a keen interest in both surgical and non-surgical cosmetic procedures for the face and body, and her aim is to ensure that each client achieves their best possible result. She is committed to continuing education within the Plastic and Cosmetic industries. She offers a highly personalised service ensuring every client is treated with the highest level of professional care.
Jo also provides patients with non-surgical treatments such as wrinkle relaxers, dermal fillers, IPL and chemical peels.
Debbie - Practice Manager
Debbie joined Dr Patrick Briggs team in July 2010 as Practice Manager. She has previously had extensive experience in Business Management, Accounting, Human Resources and Medical Practice.
Debbie’s role in the practice is multifaceted. Her position includes staff supervision, marketing, statistics and the general day to day smooth running of the practice. Debbie is readily contactable and she is happy to assist with any of your queries of an administrative nature.
Debbie’s friendly nature and dedication to detail is important to the team, as we aim to give a high standard of service in all aspects of Dr Briggs business.
Carla - Registered Nurse
Carla joined Dr Patrick Briggs team in January 2011 as our Private Scrub Nurse. Carla came to Dr Patrick Briggs with 15 years experience in the operating theatre, with a passion for Plastic, Cosmetic Surgery. Carla’s role is to assist Dr Briggs in the smooth running of his theatre.
Carla’s warm and friendly nature is without question an asset to Dr Briggs team. Your positive experience is of high importance to Carla and this is shown in her dedication to each and every patient.
Jodi - Receptionist
Jodi joined Dr Patrick Briggs team in January 2011. Jodi came to Dr Briggs with three and a half years experience in the Medical/Cosmetic Industry. Jodi’s warm & friendly nature and efficient attitude ensures that your experience within the clinic is pleasant and seamless.
Jodi manages the daily administrative duties at Dr Patrick Briggs and understands how important it is to feel welcomed and at ease within this environment.
Jodi can assist you with consultation bookings, accounts, theatre bookings and queries of a general nature. From first contact through to your last post operative appointment Jodi will always be there to assist you.
