What is Skin Needling aka Microneedling?
The brief answer to what is microneedling is getting rid of acne scars, stretch marks, large pores, wrinkles and more. You just have to take 6 to 8 sessions each of 30 minutes and you can happily bid goodbye to the skin problems and cherish the rejuvenated and plumper skin.
The main purpose of microneedling is to increase the production of new collagen and this is done by puncturing the dermis with Dermapen which triggers the production of new collagen. The fresh collagen produced will make your skin plumper, smoothes the scars from acne or surgery, reducing the stretch marks and removes the wrinkles.
After doing this microneedling treatment, the topical creams or serums applied on the skin will be 100 times more effective because the pores are opened, which will let the product penetrate to a deeper level into the skin.
Microneedling treatments are much more effective than surgical treatments like dermabrasion, laser resurfacing and chemical peel in stimulating the production of collagen and elastin which will thicken the skin and will remove the wrinkles and smooth the scars.
Does it hurt?
As microneedling Dermapen has the fine needles with which the treatment is carried, there are many people who are afraid that the needles may hurt them. But, actually, it is just a myth. Using Dermapen will just give you the tingling and the light prickly sensation. Obviously, you won’t feel good, but at the same time, there will be no pain at all. You will just have the temporary reddening for hardly 1-2 hours after the microneedling facial.
